The swan song to Shakia "The Key" Barron's work work at Connecticut College. After years of more ballet inspired and solo work, Shakia brought a non-stop, energy filled hip-hop piece that kept the room bouncing. A large cast dance that started with thrusting themselves onto the stage and kept that energy for the entire piece.

In the spirit of the movement, I had to bring the HEAT. Using hot colors against a cool brick background I was able to separate the dancers and make them pop while still giving a feeling of a burning summer day filled with dance on urban streets. A true delight to put together, a piece that had everyone out of their seats (literally).
